?Mark David Allison thinks his song ‘Dreamer’ shouldbe the soundtrack to his life. Like the words ‘Sail in to the darkest night until the morning shines so bright’, Mark has made countless journeys throughout his life always with a view that the glass is half full as opposed to half empty, which have brought him to where he is today, some good, some bad, some indifferent, but all have played a part in composing his songs. Personal experiences with relationships, children, parents, friends, times in his life and feelings towards more global issues are all covered in his storybook of songs.

Born in Aberdeen, Scotland, Mark spent his early years in the city before moving to Southern Africa and a host of childhood adventures and memories before returning and settling in Inverness in the Scottish Highlands with his parents in 1980, the year he remembers music really taking a hold of him.

Mark had always thoughts of being a solo artist and doing his own thing and at the age of 23 he started writing and recording what he thought would be his first album. This recording would metamorphosis into the band Rainland who would go on for another five years in various line-ups and changes to their sound until Mark decided it had departed too far from what he had originally started. In this time he played guitar, bass and backing vocals, wrote the majority of the material and was instrumental in landing the band tour slots with the likes of Big Country.

It was August 2006, and after too long a break from the music scene, Mark was involved in setting up a small music festival. After a chance meeting with his Rainland producer Terry Small, the two discussed kick starting Marks musical career and since the end of 2006 have been working away writing, recording and rehearsing with the odd acoustic gig thrown in.

Musical achievements apart from the above also include compositions for television advertising, extensive airplay on local radio and a number 11 position on the international American web based chart Beta Records.
